Rental software for fairs and festivals
Mobility scooters, wheelchairs, strollers and carts, rented from several gates across a fairground for days at a time.
The gate keeps going at the busiest hour
A fairground fills up, the cell towers struggle, and the line at the rental tent grows. Hitchpost saves each rental on the tablet and catches up with the office when the signal returns.
- Cart 019 rented, 4 hours, $75.00
- Scooter 06 out, card on the reader
- Cart 019 returned, deposit back
- Cart 041 rented, keys held
- Correction: Cart 038, not 041. The first line stays.
Sample data. Cut the signal and the record keeps writing.
What changes for you
Several gates, one fleet
Every gate sees the same units and the same bookings. A scooter rented at one gate can come back at another.
Due back before close
Set rentals to end 30 minutes before the event closes, however long the day runs. Late fees follow your rules.
Licenses in numbered boxes
When a customer leaves a license or keys, the box number goes on the rental, so the right one comes back out.
Days in a row
Each night the drawers close and balance. The next morning every tablet starts from the same record.
Questions people ask
How many gates can one event run?
As many as you have tablets for. The State Fair setup ran five gates from one record.
Can customers book before the event?
Yes. Online bookings land in the gate app, and customers can also fill in their details on their phone while they wait in line.
What happens to a unit that is not returned?
It shows as overdue on the office board. With a GPS tracker on it, you can also see where it was last.
